HOMESTEAD, Fla– During the Florida Power & Light (FP&L) scheduled electric outage beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2016, Everglades National Park Boat Tours operations at Flamingo, in the southwest portion of the park, will close the Buttonwood Cafe and fuel services. Boat tours, marina retail and rental services and other concession services will continue.
The outage is expected to last up to eight hours, and potentially into the late evening. It will affect areas from south of Mahogany Hammock to Flamingo.
WHAT: Everglades National Park Boat Tours will close the Buttonwood Café and fuel services during a scheduled FP&L electric outage at Flamingo, in the southwestern portion of the park. Boat tours, marina retail and rental services and other concession services will continue.
