Bleecker Street Publications is looking for a Contract Junior Editor to join our digital content team, working across top-tier firearms and tactical publications like AthlonOutdoors.com.

We’re not hunting for a perfect résumé; we are after someone who is sharp, motivated, and ready to prove themselves. You’ll help create, curate, and refresh digital content that reaches millions of readers. From updating legacy stories to polishing new releases, you will play a key part in keeping our content locked, loaded, and relevant.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Creating, curating, and managing digital content for online platforms
• Updating and republishing archived articles on AthlonOutdoors.com
• Refreshing specs, product info, and links to keep content current
• Editing for clarity, flow, and accuracy while keeping our tone on target
• Optimizing posts for SEO and digital performance (we’ll train you)
• Collaborating with writers, photographers, and editors who live and breathe this world
• Supporting ongoing editorial projects

What We’re Looking For

• Strong writing and editing chops—you don’t need a degree, just the skills
• Familiarity with firearms, tactical gear, or outdoor culture (big plus)
• Computer savvy and comfortable working in WordPress or similar CMS
• A “whatever it takes” mindset; reliable, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• Understanding of SEO and digital publishing basics (or willingness to learn fast)
