"Turtleman" Custom Motorcycle Raffled to Benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research

Nashville, TN -The "TURTLEMAN" Ted Mitchell custom Harley Davidson motorcycle will be unveiled and offered for raffle at the EasyRiders Bike Show Tour in Nashville, TN on Feb. 2, 2013. The tribute bike, built by Ted Mitchell of Cookville, TN will feature the new "Turtleman"-themed camouflage patterns under the KLOAK™ Konsealment™ brand as well as other Turtleman images.

Proceeds from the motorcycle raffle-a winner of which will be drawn in December 2013, will go to the Kentucky Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in honor of Courtney Brown, daughter of Ernie Brown Jr., star of "Call of the Wildman" on ANIMAL PLANET. Courtney has Type 1 diabetes.

"I can't wait to see this motorcycle raffled off for such a great cause. This disease affects my own daughter and thousands of Americans all over the country. I'm thrilled to have been joined by Ted Mitchell in helping to further this noble effort," said Ernie Brown Jr.

Ernie Brown Jr. has established himself as one of the most sought-after wildlife rescue and relocation experts in North America. The native Kentuckian has been diving into murky ponds in search of snapping turtles for nearly 40 years, catching his first when he was just seven-years-old after learning the risky technique from his father and uncle. "Turtleman" catches an average of 300 turtles a year, landing about 12,000 since starting his career as an animal rescuer.

Ted Mitchell, who built his first bike in 1969, chose a 1984 Harley Davidson FXST as the basis for the custom Turtleman bike. This FXST--collectable in its own right--was the last of the chain drive Harleys, and was also the first year of the EVO 1340 engine. Ted has spent over three months customizing the special Turtleman motorcycle.

"I know many have been impacted by this disease", says Mitchell. "I want them to know that this bike is for them and is a step in the right direction to finding a cure."

The 2013 Easyriders Bike Show Tour will be located at the Nashville Convention Center located at: 601 Commerce St, Nashville, TN 37203. Show hours 10am - 8pm
