Austin, Texas - Women for Gun Rights (WGR), a national organization dedicated to safeguarding the Second Amendment and promoting firearm education, proudly participated in the Texas Gun Owners Lobby Day (GOLD) hosted by Gun Owners of America (GOA).
Buses converged at the Capitol from four regions of Texas delivering advocates in teal shirts to showcase unity and strength. Participants engaged in a rally, legislative briefings, advocacy training, and discussions on key pro-gun bills.
"The gun control lobby is masterful at marketing and using the same-colored shirts to show their numbers. I couldn’t be prouder of all these organizations coming together and showing a unified front and pushing the #tealfor2a campaign,” said Dianna Muller, Founder of Women for Gun Rights.
Alison Adams, the Texas State Director for WGR, spoke at the event highlighted the camaraderie and shared purpose of the event. "Gun rights are about more than just policy—they’re about people. Seeing so many Texans standing together, proudly wearing teal, was a reminder that we are not alone in this fight. Firearms keep us safe, and preserving our freedoms requires all of us to take action.
While March 11 was the main day of action, additional opportunities to visit the Texas Capitol and advocate for Second Amendment rights will take place on April 1, with departures from Grapevine and Burleson, and on May 6, with departures from Cypress and Brenham. Click HERE for details.
Patriot Mobile was a sponsor of the event and is a longtime supporter of Women for Gun Rights. Using “2APATRIOT” to switch to a conservative, 2A supporting cell phone service provider will help fund Women for Gun Rights and their mission.
About Women for Gun Rights
Women for Gun Rights is a nationwide organization of women committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment. A non-partisan initiative of daughters, mothers, and sisters who believe education is the key to firearm safety and violence prevention—not legislation. We counter the disinformation gun control groups circulate by informing our friends, families, communities, and legislators with the truth that gun rights are human rights.
