RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA- The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has completed renovations on two Craven County Boating Access Areas.
The Cool Springs and Maple Cypress sites now have new ramps and docks, and have been made handicapped accessible. The parking lots have also been renovated.
"The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is continuously looking for opportunities to increase access to public waters across the state, in rivers, creeks and lakes," said Erik Christofferson, chief of the Commission's Division of Engineering Services. "We are thrilled to have renovated these two popular sites in our coastal region, and are grateful for a partnership with Craven County that has allowed us to work there."
Cool Springs is on Swift Creek, while Maple Cypress is on the Neuse River. Like all of the Commission's more than 200 public access areas, they are free and open 24 hours.
