ZeroTech Optics USA Introduces Thrive X 4-16x50 for Open-Country Hunting

ZeroTech Optics USA introduces the Thrive X 4-16x50, a second focal plane hunting riflescope line built around a 50mm objective and five reticle options: Zeroplex, Mildot, G4, PHR 3 and PHR 4. With weights starting at 21.9 ounces and parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity, the line brings a useful combination of magnification, configuration choices and field-ready construction to open-country hunting rifles.

The 4x setting provides a 28.1-foot field of view at 100 yards for locating game, while the 16x setting offers a closer look at distant detail with a 6.9-foot field of view. Adjustable parallax allows the shooter to account for changes in target distance, and eye relief ranges from 3.2 to 3.35 inches. Fully multi-coated lenses and a 30mm 6061-T6 aluminum main tube form the foundation of every configuration.

For shooters who work in mils, the Mildot version combines matching reticle references with 0.1 MRAD clicks and 17.5 MRAD of internal adjustment in both elevation and windage. The Zeroplex, G4, PHR 3 and PHR 4 versions use 0.25 MOA clicks and provide 60 MOA of internal travel in each axis. The choice is between familiar adjustment systems, not different optical formats.

The G4, PHR 3 and PHR 4 versions include the Adjustable BDC Turret, bringing five individually lockable reference markers to the elevation dial. Each marker can correspond to a distance confirmed with the hunter's own rifle and ammunition. The full 0.25 MOA scale remains readable beneath the markers, so custom references and conventional dialing are both available. These three configurations are listed at 22.4 ounces with the BDC turret.

Key Features

  • 4-16x magnification, 50mm objective and second focal plane design.
  • Parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity; 3.2-3.35-inch eye relief.
  • Fully multi-coated lenses and an IPX7 waterproof rating.
  • 21.9 oz for Zeroplex and Mildot; 22.4 oz for models with the BDC turret.
  • Nonilluminated reticles with subtensions calibrated at 16x.

Reticle Options and Model Specifications

Zeroplex and Mildot provide the wire-reticle options. G4, PHR 3 and PHR 4 are glass-etched and include the Adjustable BDC Turret. PHR 3 supplies a simplified holdover pattern, while PHR 4 combines a floating center dot and cross with an open upper field. All five are nonilluminated, and the second focal plane design keeps the reticle's apparent size consistent throughout the 4-16x magnification range.
