Sedalia, MO – Team Vihtavuori shooter Chad Heckler has claimed his second International Precision Rifle Federation (IPRF) Limited Division World Championship title at the 2026 IPRF Centerfire World Championship held at Gravestone Precision Shooting in Lipan, Texas.
The championship, held September 24-28, brought together the world's top precision rifle competitors to compete under the IPRF's standardized international format. Athletes from more than 20 countries tackled 20 challenging stages, firing 200 rounds at targets ranging from 300 to 1,000 yards in a test of skill, accuracy, and consistency.
Heckler claimed the Limited Division title with an impressive score of 171 out of 200 points, dominating a highly competitive field. His winning load featured Berger 30 Caliber 185 Grain Hybrid Target bullets, Lapua 308 Winchester brass, and Vihtavuori N150 powder, a combination that delivered the precision and consistency needed to earn the championship.
"This match was the culmination of two years of hard work, and I feel that because of that work and dedication, I was rewarded with my second World Champion title in the IPRF Limited Division," said Heckler. "It could have easily gone the other way, as the competition was stacked with shooters from around the world who are experts in the sport, including professional match winners and even a Golden Bullet winner."
The International Precision Rifle Federation brings together the world's best precision rifle athletes through an internationally standardized competition structure. In the United States, the U.S. Precision Rifle Association (USPRA) is responsible for selecting and organizing the athletes who represent Team USA on the world stage.
Heckler also praised the overall performance of Team USA, which earned top honors across all division categories.
"I am incredibly proud of Team USA for coming out on top in every division category," Heckler said. "I'm also proud of the shooters from other countries who worked their way onto the podium alongside us. The world is watching, and we must lead by example and remain humble at all times."
Team Vihtavuori congratulates Chad Heckler on his outstanding achievement and continued success!
