Team Remington's Hitch Wins 2026 NSCA National Championship Main Event

Team Remington's Todd Hitch capped an incredible sporting clay season with the Main Event title at the 2026 NSCA National Championship. The event drew more than 2,600 shooters, including a strong international contingent to the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Texas. This win, combined with his second consecutive U.S. Open title in 2026, solidifies his position as one of the world's elite sporting clay shooters. The NSCA Nationals kicked off on October 17 and concluded on October 25, 2026.

The top five shooters heading into the Main Event final course on Sunday were locked in a very close race, separated by only a few targets. Hitch shot the final course with near perfection. With hundreds watching, Hitch had a five-bird lead going into the final station and the pressure was immense. "I just told myself don't look at the scoreboard, focus on what I needed to do, trust the process, be aggressive and see the birds first and execute the shot," said Hitch who extended his lead by running the station clean and winning the title by seven targets.

"I made a goal a couple of years ago to never go into a tournament feeling under prepared," said Hitch who narrowly lost the title in 2025 after having one bad station. Hitch now says every detail into his scheduling, coaching, and practice time prepares him and his confidence for every tournament. His feelings on winning his first NSCA Main Event title: "This feels great!"

In the Main Event, Hitch shot Remington's Premier Nitro Sporting Clays shotshell. The payload contains 1 1/8 oz. of 8 shot at 1,300 fps. "It holds such a good pattern at 40 to 50 yards. Because of its pattern density, I have such confidence in that load to break every target on the course." Besides the Main Event title, Hitch also finished third in the Super Sporting Event and was Runner-Up in the All-Around competition.

Remington Teammate Braxton Oliver captured the K Kup overall title in a field of more than 2,100 shooters. Other strong performances included Madison Sharpe finishing second in both the Lady All-Round and Lady FITASC events and a third place in the Lady 5-Stand event.

Team Remington competes and wins with Remington Premier shotshells. Top quality, consistency, and accuracy come standard when trap, skeet, or sporting competitors shoot the iconic Premier STS and Premier Nitro families of ammunition.
