Pulsar Introduces Thermion 3 LRF, the Third Generation of Its Classic-Design Thermal Riflescope

Longer range, sharper image detail, improved handling and expanded functionality build on the familiar Thermion platform

Pulsar has introduced the Thermion 3 LRF, the third generation of its classic-design thermal riflescope, available in XR60 and XT60 configurations. Developed through refinement and customer feedback, Thermion 3 improves imaging performance, rangefinding, ergonomics and battery life while preserving the familiar handling of a traditional riflescope.

The Thermion series combined thermal imaging with the appearance and controls of a conventional daytime scope. The third generation carries the tagline "Perfected," reflecting Pulsar's focus on refining proven technology through practical field experience.

KEY IMPROVEMENTS IN THERMION 3

  • Extended laser rangefinding. The integrated rangefinder now measures up to 1,312 yards (1,200 meters), versus approximately 875 yards (800 meters) in the previous generation, and delivers faster readings.
  • Sharper thermal imaging. Updated sensors improve detail. The XT60 uses a 1280 Ă— 1024 HD sensor; the XR60 features a next-generation 640 Ă— 480 sensor.
  • Refined traditional controls. Zoom and focus rings retain the feel of a daytime scope, with a zoom throw lever and convenient top-turret focusing wheel.
  • Improved viewing comfort. A larger screen is intended to provide increased eye relief and reduce eye strain. Both models feature a 2560 Ă— 2560 AMOLED display.
  • Longer operation. Improved battery life and a user-replaceable battery support extended use in the field.
  • Ballistic assistance. The integrated ballistic calculator and Stream Vision Ballistics compatibility support distance-informed shooting decisions.

TWO MODELS FOR DIFFERENT HUNTING APPLICATIONS

Thermion 3 LRF XT60. The flagship model pairs a 1280 × 1024 HD sensor with 2–24× magnification. Its 14.6° field of view delivers fine image detail and broad situational awareness for close- and long-range observation.

Thermion 3 LRF XR60. A next-generation 640 × 480 sensor and 4–40× magnification, including 4× base magnification, make this model particularly suited to open-field and longer-distance observation.

Both models feature a 60 mm (2.36-inch) F1.0 objective lens and a high-resolution 2560 Ă— 2560 AMOLED display for image clarity and contrast.

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, FAMILIAR DESIGN

Thermion 3 retains a traditional riflescope profile and a standard 30 mm (1.18-inch) mounting tube for compatible conventional rings. The integrated laser rangefinder fits discreetly into the objective housing, avoiding a bulky external attachment. Ergonomic controls and a top-mounted focusing wheel further preserve the conventional scope experience.

RECORDING, CONNECTIVITY AND FIELD DURABILITY

Recoil-activated video recording and 128 GB of internal storage allow hunters to capture footage without separate recording equipment. Stream Vision 2 compatibility lets users manage footage and device settings from a smartphone or tablet, while Stream Vision Ballistics supports ballistic calculations.

An IP67-rated aluminum alloy housing protects the device against dust and temporary immersion under the rating's specified conditions. Thermion 3 is manufactured in Europe and backed by Pulsar's five-year warranty.

BUILT ON EXPERIENCE

From the extended rangefinder and improved sensors to refined controls and greater viewing comfort, Thermion 3 responds to the practical needs of hunters while retaining the familiar Thermion format. Pulsar is supporting the launch with a documentary following a professional hunter who supplies wild game to Michelin-starred restaurants.

The Thermion 3 LRF XR60 and XT60 will be available through Pulsar's authorized dealer network. Product information and dealer locations are available at www.pulsarnv.com.
