Innovative scoring technology streamlines match operations, earns praise from competitors and match leadership, and builds momentum toward the 2027 National Championships.
APEX by RangePocket, the next-generation competitive shooting scoring platform, successfully showcased its technology during the 2026 NRA Florida State Precision Pistol Championships and NRA Day, held October 17–18 at Gateway Rifle & Pistol Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
Working in partnership with event leadership, APEX by RangePocket demonstrated how intuitive, modern scoring technology can transform the competitive shooting experience—delivering greater efficiency, simplifying match operations, and saving valuable time for competitors and match officials alike.
Throughout the weekend, the platform received enthusiastic feedback from competitors and event organizers, including Match Director Ted Carter and his wife, Sue, who praised the system's ease of use, streamlined workflow, and time-saving capabilities.
The successful implementation marks another significant milestone for APEX by RangePocket.
Building on its work with Chad Barber, Manager of the NRA's America's Rifle Challenge (ARC), APEX by RangePocket has already demonstrated its ability to bring efficiency and innovation to competitive shooting. Expanding into Precision Pistol presented a new opportunity to prove the platform's versatility across multiple shooting disciplines.
The results reinforced a clear vision: competitive shooting deserves technology that works as hard as the people who make these events possible.
Following the successful weekend, Ted Carter expressed enthusiasm for continuing to use the system at next year's matches, with plans to showcase the technology at the 2027 National Championships.
For APEX by RangePocket, this is only the beginning.
The company's long-term mission is to help modernize competition management across all NRA shooting disciplines, providing an integrated, intuitive scoring ecosystem that benefits competitors, match directors, and governing organizations.
By reducing administrative burdens, improving operational efficiency, and simplifying the scoring process, APEX by RangePocket is helping lay the foundation for the next generation of competitive shooting sports.
