Closure planned for September 22-25 and September 29-October 1
CORVALLIS – Woodside Bridge Fishing Access Site (FAS) on the Bitterroot River will close to vehicles for several days this month because the nearby highway bridge will be temporarily closed, impacting access.
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) will close the Woodside Highway 323 bridge from Tuesday, Sept. 22 through Friday, Sept. 25, and again from Tuesday, Sept. 29 until Thursday, Oct. 1 from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. each day. MDT is working on plans for a potential new bridge at this location, and the closure is necessary as they collect information for that design.
The FAS will be closed to vehicles 24 hours a day Sept. 22-25 and Sept. 29-Oct. 1, but visitors may access the site using the walking path.
FWP will provide information on the temporary FAS vehicle closure with signs at upstream and downstream river access sites and online at fwp.mt.gov/news/current-closures-restrictions.
