Team Beretta athletes delivered a standout performance at the 2026 Federal Diamond Classic, held September 17-20 at the Greater Houston Sports Club in Texas, collecting seven top-three finishes and multiple championship titles across the event's Main, Super Sporting, Prelim and Sporting Lite competitions.
Leading the way was Team Beretta athlete Joseph Fanizzi, who captured the Main Event High Overall (HOA) Championship with a score of 186 out of 200 targets. The victory marked Fanizzi's fifth lifetime Diamond Classic HOA title, adding another milestone to an already accomplished sporting clays career. Fanizzi also claimed first place in Super Sporting, giving him two championship finishes at this year's event.
Fanizzi was joined on the podium by fellow Team Beretta athletes Meagan Grossi, Desirae Edmunds and Dominic Grossi, showcasing the depth of Team Beretta talent across multiple disciplines and divisions. Meagan Grossi finished runner-up in Main Lady, while Desirae Edmunds secured third in Main Lady. Edmunds added another podium finish in Super Sporting, placing third in Super Sporting Lady, and claimed the Prelim Lady Championship. In the Sporting Lite competition, Dominic Grossi captured the HOA Championship and added a third-place finish in 5 Stand, giving Team Beretta another pair of podium results.
Team Beretta competed with Beretta's premier competition shotgun lineup, including the SO5, 694 and A400 L Sporting, showcasing the performance and craftsmanship that have made Beretta a leader in competitive shooting. Competing with Beretta's A400 L Sporting, Fanizzi' and Edmunds' performance further highlighted the shotgun's capabilities in high-level sporting clays competition. The A400 L Sporting features Beretta's B-Link gas operating system, designed to provide faster follow-up shots, along with a Steelium® Plus barrel engineered to deliver consistent patterns and reduced felt recoil. Its competition-focused configuration combines performance with an ergonomically designed Grade 2.5+ European walnut stock and forend.
