Ruger Presents Horns of Africa in Partnership with Burris Optics Available Now from Petersen's HUNTING

Digital Video Series Records Epic Hunting Adventures for Plains Game in Southern Africa

Join in the adventure of a lifetime, hunting the iconic plains game of Southern Africa with "Ruger Presents Horns of Africa," in partnership with Burris Optics, and in cooperation with Outdoor Sportsman Group's legacy big-game hunting brand, Petersen's HUNTING. Available now to watch exclusively on the Petersen's HUNTING Website, Petersen's HUNTING YouTube and on MyOutdoorTV (MOTV), this 8-part series hosted by Kali Parmley (Host of Wild Upland, Editor in Chief of Gun Dog and Backcountry Hunter magazines) gives viewers a first-hand look at safari life in Southern Africa and what it takes to hunt plains game, especially various antelope, but also other game species and gamebirds. Kali Parmley and her hunting partners share their experiences in the field, demonstrating, along with their Professional Hunter (PH), the modern hunting tackle and techniques that work in the breathtakingly beautiful but harsh and often unforgiving conditions of the rolling African bushveld.

With partners Ruger and Burris Optics, Host Kali Parmley and team not only enjoy the heart of the African wilderness in pursuit of some of the continent's most sought-after game species, but they also celebrate the vital role that hunting plays in conservation in Africa. Parmley and team give back to the community by visiting a local school, do some big-picture sightseeing at the unforgettable Mapungubwe National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the ancient African Kingdom that arose there at the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers, and they spend invaluable time getting to know and understand what it means to be a PH in Africa, and also what it means to be perhaps their greatest asset – a spoorsnyer, which means "tracker" in Afrikaans.

Follow Ruger Director of Media, Advertising, and Public Relations, Abbey Clary, as she makes her first trip to Africa, discovering the incredible people and places that make the Limpopo Province so unique and unforgettable, and setting her sights on the brindled blue wildebeest, the mesmerizingly graceful impala, and the striking but secretive nyala antelope.

Tim Cremin, Head of Programming at Outdoor Sportsman Group (OSG), expressed his enthusiasm for this second edition of Ruger Presents Horns of Africa: "We're really excited about returning to Southern Africa with a fresh eye to document the sights and sounds of the Limpopo region and the natural spectacle that is safari, while at the same time working with our partners Ruger and Burris to show how hunting conserves wildlife and wild lands – and the communities that depend on both."

"Ruger Presents Horns of Africa" is available now for streaming on the Petersen's HUNTING Website, Petersen's HUNTING YouTube and on MyOutdoorTV (MOTV).
