Kent & Shannon Rollins Drive Their 1876 Chuck Wagon to America’s Historic Ranches
During Season 2 of Cast Iron Cowboy, "Cowboy" Kent Rollins and wife Shannon continue their remarkable mission to visit America's historic working ranches and to feed hearty, regionally inspired meals to hungry cowboys. This season, they'll be driving their authentic 1876 chuck wagon to visit ranches from the Sunshine State to The Last Frontier, with the season kick off at the famous Bull Hammock Ranch in Martin County, Florida. Cowboy Kent Rollins has been preparing robust meals for ranchers and cowpokes at authentic working ranches for more than three decades, and he and Shannon are passionate about putting their considerable culinary skills to nourish hard-working cowboys.
Viewers won't want to miss a single episode of this new season of Cast Iron Cowboy, beginning at Bull Hammock Ranch, a working cow-calf and cattle ranch operated by the Carlton Family in Martin County, Florida, since 1947 where, Kent and Shannon prepare a feast of Carlton Steaks, Gator Tail, and Swamp Cabbage. Episode 2 finds Kent and Shannon at Maggie Creek Ranch in Elko, Nevada, where they rise at dawn to serve Breakfast Burritos to the hard-working Searle Family and finish the day with Upside Down Pizza. The third episode takes place in Clearmont, Wyoming, at the Auzqui Ranch, where Lamb Chops and Cowboy Mac & Cheese are on the menu. In episode 4, Kent and Shannon head for Delta Junction, Alaska, to visit Mugrage Hay and Cattle, a family farm that has been serving Alaska grocers and shipping to the Arctic for many generations. There, Kent and Shannon prepare Prime Rib and White Chocolate Raspberry Bars. Episode 5 takes viewers to Harlowton, Montana, where Beef Stroganoff is served up to the hard-working folks at Nash Land and Livestock. Then it's off to Flagstaff, Arizona for episode 6, where Biscuits and Gravy, followed by Southwest-inspired Enchilada Burgers are on the menu for the busy crew at Babbit Ranches. Episode 7 takes Kent and Shannon back to Florida to the Roman III Ranch near Wauchula, where Tri-Tip Sandwiches and Dutch Oven Citrus Cake feed the hard workers at this fifth-generation cattle and citrus operation. Kent and Shannon have something really special planned for Episode 8 at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska, where they honor America's "Arctic Warriors" with an amazing Mountain Man Breakfast.
Cowboy Kent is fond of saying, "You can't get full on fancy," but he and Shannon hold nothing back when it comes to hospitality.
