Today, Safari Club International (SCI) commended the U.S. Senate for confirming Kevin Lilly as Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife at the Department of the Interior.
Assistant Secretary Lilly has a strong track record of openness and engagement with the hunting and conservation community, including with SCI's dedicated Washington D.C. staff. SCI is eager to work with him to protect hunting and fishing, expand access to public lands, and delist gray wolves and grizzly bears from the Endangered Species Act.
"Assistant Secretary Lilly's confirmation comes at a critical moment for America's hunters and anglers, with the midterm elections raising the stakes in Washington," said SCI CEO W. Laird Hamberlin.
