Ruger, GunBroker, Baron Technology and OSCF Team Up for Auctions Supporting Conservation

The Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation (OSCF) is proud to announce two new GunBroker auctions benefitting conservation are currently live on OSCF's GunBroker store, ending Sunday, August 30 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Proceeds from the auctions will support OSCF's mission to improve cultural acceptance of gun ownership among the general public and grow participation in hunting, fishing, trapping, and target shooting.

The first auction features a one-of-a-kind Marlin SBL Series Model 1894 .44 Rem Mag lever-action rifle donated by Ruger Firearms, and custom-engraved by Baron Technology. One side of the receiver features an intricately detailed woodland scene depicting whitetail deer, framed by flowing ornamental scrollwork and selective gold accents. The opposite side carries complementary scroll engraving and the inscription "Proud Steward of Conservation" within an elegant gold-bordered banner. The dark engraved details and gold embellishments create a striking contrast against the polished stainless-steel receiver.

Dave Miles, president and CEO of Baron Technology, and OSCF board member, noted, "these auctions feature two quality firearms that any gun owner would be proud to have in their gun safe. Ruger has a long history as a champion of conservation, and we genuinely appreciate their support of Outdoor Stewards."

The second auction highlights a beautiful Ruger Red Label III over/under shotgun donated by Ruger. Re-introduced at the end of last year, this premium 20-gauge shotgun is ideal for upland game hunting, skeet and sporting clays, as well as waterfowling. Features include a walnut stock and precision-machined receiver, and the shotgun comes with five screw-in Tru-Choke style choke tubes: Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified and Full.

Rob Werkmeister, senior vice president of marketing and customer experience at Ruger Firearms stated, "in addition to contributing to wildlife conservation through the Pittman-Robertson Act, Ruger is proud to support many conservation focused non-profits such as Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation. We appreciate the work OSCF is doing to shine a positive light on both the outdoor industry, and the millions of gun owners that enjoy hunting and target shooting."

Bidders are encouraged to participate before the auctions conclude on Sunday, August 30, at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Funding from auctions such as these support OSCF's initiatives; "Fill A Bag While Filling Your Tag™," "COME WITH!™" and "Connecting with Conservation™," that promote positive contributions the outdoor industry and HATS™ (Hunters, Anglers, Trappers, Shooters) make to wildlife conservation. Outdoor Stewards collaborates with wildlife agencies, industry partners, and outdoor enthusiasts to enhance cultural acceptance of hunting, fishing, trapping, and target shooting. As a result of these initiatives, recent highlights from OSCF include:

  • Bringing New Customers to Market: Outdoor Stewards' yearlong "Come With" campaign with Kentucky Dept. Fish and Game yielded 18,000 new participants.
  • Promoting Positive Contributions of Gun Owners to the General Public: Our "Keepers of the Wild" PSA has exceeded $11 million in earned television and radio media and reached more than 500 million impressions among the general population.
  • Protecting Traditional Ammunition: Our new research identifies the impact on wildlife populations from traditional ammunition.
