A North Berwick man died in an ATV crash in Piscataquis county Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 2:00 yesterday afternoon (8/15/26), Bruce Kennedy, age 20 of North Berwick, was operating an ATV with a friend who was on a separate ATV in a remote area of Piscataquis county near Wadleigh Pond when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, lost control of the ATV he was driving and crashed. Kennedy passed away at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the crash. The initial investigation indicates speed was a factor in the crash. Kennedy was not wearing a helmet.
The Maine Warden Service was assisted with the crash by LifeFlight, Brownville Fire Department, Milo Fire Department, Piscataquis Sherriff's Office, and the Maine Forest Service. Kennedy was transported to Lary Funeral Home in Dover-Foxcroft.
