FWP Seeking Applicants for Region 5 Citizen Advisory Collective

Application deadline September 14

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking applicants for the Region 5 Citizen Advisory Collective (CAC) in south-central Montana.

The CAC meets several times a year and serves in an advisory role, helping FWP stay responsive and manage resources effectively within legal boundaries. Citizen advisors help identify emerging issues and potential conflicts, and they act as FWP ambassadors to various interest groups and geographic communities.

FWP employees benefit from having a deeper understanding of public priorities and expectations with help from citizen advisors, who act as a trusted sounding board for ideas and initiatives. People who volunteer in this capacity benefit from understanding FWP programs, priorities, decision-making processes and limitations in a broader context.

FWP is seeking applicants representing a variety of outdoor interests from communities across south-central Montana within Region 5. FWP welcomes applications from anyone with an interest in natural resource issues and outdoor recreation. Applicants must live in FWP Region 5, which includes the following counties or portions of the following counties: Big Horn, Carbon, Golden Valley, Meagher Musselshell, Park, Petroleum, Stillwater, Sweet Grass, Wheatland and Yellowstone. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

Applications are available online here.
