Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has selected Amy Grout as the new regional recreation manager for Region 1 in northwest Montana.
Grout brings more than two decades of experience within FWP. Originally from Alaska, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University. Over her 20+ year career, Grout has gained a broad range of experience across park operations, visitor services, and recreation management.
Most recently, Grout served as the Flathead Lake district recreation manager for over a decade, where she oversaw complex projects, supported staff development, and strengthened recreational opportunities for the public.
"Amy's leadership experience, deep knowledge of our parks, and longstanding commitment to public service make her an exceptional fit for this role," said regional supervisor, Amber Steed. "Her ability to balance conservation with high‑quality recreation experiences will be invaluable to our region and the communities we serve."
The regional recreation manager oversees staff and operations at state parks, fishing access sites, and other FWP-managed recreation sites. The role is responsible for maintaining safe, welcoming facilities and ensuring excellent customer service for both Montana residents and visitors.
