The 1st Annual FWC Pensacola Lionfish Invitational Tournament and Festival is coming to Plaza de Luna, Palafox Pier in Pensacola, Florida, Sept. 24–27.

Why Lionfish Removal Matters
Lionfish are extremely detrimental to Florida's reefs and marine ecosystems. They reproduce rapidly and compete with native species for food and habitat.
Tournaments like this help make a measurable impact by removing large numbers of invasive lionfish, while raising awareness about the importance of continued removal. Conservation is a community effort, and every lionfish removed makes a difference.
Tournament Registration
Don't wait to secure your spot! Register by Aug. 21 to ensure your selected shirt size and quantity. All participants must be fully registered and paid by 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 to be eligible for tournament prizes and awards.
Active participants in the 2026 FWC Lionfish Challenge who have submitted at least one lionfish may receive a discounted registration rate, subject to verification.
Teams are limited to a maximum of four participants. Individuals may register as a single-person team. Multiple teams may participate from the same boat. Once registration closes, teams are locked. No substitutions are permitted.
