Beretta USA proudly congratulates Team Beretta athlete Desirae Edmunds on capturing Silver in the Ladies Division at the 48th FITASC Sporting World Championship, held July 16–19 at Clube de Tiro de Vale das Pedras in Ota, Portugal. Competing against the world's top sporting clays shooters, Edmunds delivered an outstanding performance to finish as the Ladies World Runner-Up after a shoot-off, further cementing her place among the sport's elite.
Edmunds posted a score of 172 over the championship's 200-target course before narrowly finishing second following a tie-breaking shoot-off. The result continues an exceptional 2026 season for the Team Beretta athlete, adding another international podium finish to an already impressive year.
Team Beretta also saw strong performances in the highly competitive Open Division, with Anthony Matarese, Jr. and Joseph Fanizzi each earning Top-10 finishes, tying for eighth place against one of the deepest international fields in sporting clays, as well as Fanizzi winning 1st place with his team in the Men's Senior Team division. Connor Daniel secured fifth place in the Junior Division competing with a Beretta DT11 EELL and his team in the Junior Team division won 1st place together. Edmunds and Fanizzi competed with the Beretta A400 L Sporting, while Matarese Jr. relied on the Beretta SL2 throughout the championship, showcasing the performance and reliability of Beretta's premium competition shotguns on the world stage.
