Free Expect to Inspect Outreach Kits Available Now to Boost Boater Compliance and Prevent Invasive Species

To help resource managers increase boater compliance with aquatic invasive species (AIS) laws, Wildlife Forever is offering free educational outreach kits through the Expect to Inspect (E2I) program.

With watercraft inspection regulations varying by region, clear communication is essential to prevent the spread of AIS. The E2I campaign is designed to bridge this gap, helping boaters easily navigate local laws and locate decontamination or watercraft cleaning resources.

To support local agencies and conservation partners, Wildlife Forever is distributing complementary E2I outreach kits, which include:

  • Educational Posters: introducing the program and featuring a QR code link
  • Informative Rack Cards: diving further into the program
  • Durable Decals: come in 2 designs and feature the E2I logo and instructions on how to properly prepare a watercraft for inspection including Clean, Drain, Dry

"Our goal is to make compliance as seamless as possible for recreational boaters," said Zach Burnside, Conservation Program Manager. "These free outreach kits provide managers with direct, on-the-ground tools needed to educate the public and encourage prevention best practices."

Kits are available to agencies conducting invasive species outreach, prevention, and management on a first-come, first-served basis. To request free materials, visit www.Expect2Inspect.org
