During the past fiscal year, Whitetails Unlimited has granted $34,367 to various feeding the hungry groups around the country. A large group of the funds went to Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, which focuses on partnering with butchers to cover the costs of processing meat from deer and other big game animals. The meat is then distributed to area food banks for those in need.
Other groups that were supported include Feeding Illinois and Arkansas Hunters Feeding the Hungry. These groups allow hunters to donate extra venison to help families in need right in their communities. Just one deer can provide an average of 160 meals to those in need.
