Year-Round Experiences Offer Families and Outdoor Enthusiasts Opportunities to Learn, Hunt, Fish, and Connect with Conservation
The South Carolina Waterfowl Association (SCWA) has officially released its 2026–2027 Outdoor Heritage Events schedule, offering a diverse lineup of hands-on experiences designed to introduce participants of all ages to the traditions of hunting, fishing, shooting sports, outdoor recreation, and wildlife conservation.
Hosted at the SCWA Wildlife Education Center in Pinewood, South Carolina, the Outdoor Heritage Events program continues SCWA's mission of enhancing and perpetuating South Carolina's wildlife heritage through education and habitat conservation by creating meaningful opportunities for families and individuals to experience the outdoors together.
The upcoming season features the debut of SCWA's all-new Adult Camp and Rather Outdoors Fishing Clinic, alongside returning favorites including Women's Wilderness Weekend, Family Camp, and a full lineup of Dove, Deer, and Duck Hunts offered throughout the fall and winter seasons.
"Outdoor traditions are passed from one generation to the next through shared experiences," said Outdoor Heritage Events Coordinator Drake Tindal. "Whether someone is attending their first fishing clinic, introducing their child to hunting, or spending a weekend learning new outdoor skills, these events are designed to build confidence, create lasting memories, and inspire lifelong conservationists."
