
Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of a male recovered from the St. Joseph River in South Bend.
On Wednesday at approximately 5:15 p.m., the South Bend Fire Department, South Bend Police, and Indiana Conservation Officers were called to the area of 700 Riverside Drive for a report of a possible body in the river.
Upon arrival, responders located the victim in shallow water. Firefighters from the South Bend Fire Department recovered the victim and brought him to shore.
The victim was an adult male and the cause of death has not yet been determined. Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the details surrounding the victim and his cause of death.
Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted by the South Bend Police Department, the South Bend Fire Department, and the St. Joesph County Coroner's Office.
