Author Jeff O'Donnell to Present at Fort Hartsuff SHP

Fort Hartsuff State Historical Park will host author Jeff O'Donnell, who will give two presentations on July 11.

At 1 p.m. will be The North Brothers & The Pawnee Scouts. The 2:30 presentation will be Stories from "Amazing Tales of the Old West," including "How William Thompson Lost his Scalp" and "Pinned Together with an Arrow: The Amazing Martin Brothers Story."

O'Donnell is the author of nine books about Nebraska including "Amazing Tales of the Old West." He has appeared nationally on the Investigative Channel and Showtime. He also portrays Buffalo Bill at the Burwell Rodeo. He is retired and lives in Hastings.

The historical buildings and gift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 for ages 13 and up and $1 for ages 3-12.

Don't forget to purchase a required Nebraska Vehicle Park Entry Permit to enter the state park. Get one at OutdoorNebraska.gov or at the park entrance.
