Sedalia, MO - The nation's top F-Class competitors gathered in Raton, New Mexico, this past weekend for the 2026 Vihtavuori V2 Finale. Held at the NRA Whittington Center, the Vihtavuori V2 Finale is an invitation-only long-range championship for elite-level precision shooters.
Featuring two 32-shooter brackets, the event brought together the best in F-T/R and F-Open disciplines. Competitors tested their mettle on consistency, adaptability, and mental toughness at 1,000 yards.
The match consisted of three progressive stages; all fired in a pair-fire format:
- Stage 1: 15 shots for record with 2 convertible sighters
- Stage 2: 10 shots for record with 2 convertible sighters
- Stage 3: 5 shots for record, no sighters
The format increased pressure with each stage, culminating in a decisive final round without sighters—placing a premium on wind-reading skill and precise shot execution, and determining the champions in both divisions.
