
HELENA – Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks have added four additional items to the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting agenda for June 12.
These additional items are open for public review and comment. These agenda items are:
- Elk Hunting Access Agreements (to include staff-reviewed agreements)
- MaltEurop water lease renewal
- Beaver translocations
- Mountain lion regulations for the Charles M. Russell and UL Bend National Wildlife Refuges
The deadline for public comment on these items will be open through June 7.
The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will hold its next meeting on June 12 at the Montana Heritage Center at 225 N. Roberts Street, next to Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Headquarters in Helena. The meeting starts at 8 a.m.
The agenda items that were announced previously are:
- Mountain lion quotas for fall 2026 – winter 2027.
- Temporary Closure - Blackfoot River
- Upper Thompson Conservation Easement – Phase 1, Region 1
- Siskin Island Fishing Access Site
More information about these agenda items is available on the commission meeting webpage. Commissioners can submit amendments to any of FWP's proposals. Those amendments will be posted to the webpage as needed and will be open for public comment.

Joining by Zoom? You can comment virtually, but you must register in advance. Registration opens May 28 and closes at noon on June 11. Comment time at the meeting may be limited at the commission chair's discretion.
