Team SK Jake Stine Wins 2026 Arizona State Highpower Silhouette Championship

SK congratulates team member Jake Stine on his dominating performance at the 2026 Arizona State Highpower Silhouette Championship, held April 18-19 and hosted by the Hassayampa Rifle Silhouette Club at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, AZ.

Stine bested a field of 35 competitors, capturing titles in both the Standard Rifle and Hunter Rifle divisions. He posted a score of 51 out of a possible 80 in both the Standard Rifle and Hunter Rifle categories to be crowned the 2026 Arizona State Champion. Along the way, Stine won two of the four matches during his championship run.

The Frank L. DeSomma high power lane lived up to its formidable reputation - Switchy wind conditions greeted the shooters as they began firing forty-shot matches in both Hunter Rifle and Standard Rifle events on Saturday and Sunday. For Highpower Silhouette competition, shooters engage ten chickens at 200 meters, ten pigs at 300 meters, ten turkeys at 385 meters and ten rams at 500 meters with centerfire rifle cartridges.

"The windy conditions made for a challenging and fun match, and this was a great way to start the 2026 season," said Stine. "Thank you to SK, Berger, Lapua and VihtaVuori. Their world-class components and ammunition give me complete confidence while on the firing line."

Stine's highpower silhouette rifle chambered in 6mm BR, uses Lapua brass and Vihtavuori N135, paired with a Berger 95 grain VLD bullet for chickens, pigs, and turkeys. For the rams, Stine transitions to a heavier load consisting of Vihtavuori N140 and a Berger 109 grain Long Range Hybrid Target bullet to ensure reliable knockdown power at 500 meters.
