Listen in! The critical oral argument in our appeal of the District Court's irrational decision in our Second Amendment challenge to the constitutionality of the Federal Switchblade Act will be held April 1st during the afternoon session that starts at 1:00 PM CDT. We are scheduled number three and the last case heard. It's not possible to be sure when our case will be up, but likely around 3:00 PM CDT if things goes as normal, but no guarantee that happens.
Our three-judge panel includes Chief Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod (G.W. Bush appointee), Don R. Willett and Cory T. Wilson (Trump appointees)
At that time you can listen to the live audio via a link from this linked page that will be posted Wednesday morning. The audio will be live only when the case is actually being argued. You can listen to the end of the previous appeal and then figure ours will follow 15-30 minutes later. Yes, it is a terrible set-up.
There is no video. The audio will then be archived sometime after 5:00 PM CDT on the 5th Circuit Oral Argument Recordings Page. Docket/Case Number 25-10754
Oral argument will be at the Fifth Circuit John Minor Wisdom United States Court of Appeals Building, 600 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, Second Floor, Room 209. Information about attending can be found here.
