Texas-Based Manufacturers Reinforce Commitment to Precision Airgun Competition
MANSFIELD, TEXAS — AirForce Airguns and Rapid Air Worx (RAW), both proudly based in Texas, supported the Republic of Texas Field Target Grand Prix held April 25–26 at the Arlington Sportsman's Club in Mansfield, Texas, through equipment donations and active participation from competitive shooters using RAW Field Target rifles.

As part of their ongoing commitment to the growth of precision airgun sports, AirForce and RAW contributed rifles to support the event and its competitors. Several shooters representing the brands competed throughout the weekend, demonstrating the accuracy, consistency, and real-world performance of RAW rifles in one of the region's premier Field Target competitions.
The event was organized under the leadership of Jeff Cloud, ASC Field Target Match Director and long-time advocate for the sport. Widely respected within the Field Target community, Cloud continues to play a key role in advancing competitive airgun shooting and fostering opportunities for both new and experienced shooters.
"Events like the Republic of Texas Grand Prix are critical to the continued growth of Field Target in the United States," said John McCaslin, owner of AirForce Airguns and Rapid Air Worx. "We're proud to support the competitors, contribute equipment, and stand alongside leaders like Jeff Cloud who are helping build the future of the sport."
The Republic of Texas Field Target Grand Prix brought together top shooters from across the region to compete in a challenging, precision-based environment emphasizing consistency, accuracy, and equipment performance at varying distances and conditions.
RAW competitor Billy Davison secured a 2nd place finish in Hunter Class using a RAW HM1000x, highlighted by a decisive 35-yard shot through a 3/8-inch target aperture—demonstrating the precision and control required at the highest levels of Field Target competition.
AirForce Airguns and Rapid Air Worx remain dedicated to supporting competitive shooting disciplines—including Field Target, benchrest, and long-range airgun events—while continuing to develop high-performance rifles designed to meet the demands of serious shooters.
