Not only did she rank top lady, but Woodward also secured an impressive 4th place overall in the Open Light Division and 18th place out of 107 individual competitors.
The 5th Annual Mason Valley Steel Hunter, held at the Mason Valley Ranch in Julia, California, comprised 17 intense stages designed to truly put shooters' precision rifle expertise to the test. Contestants were pushed to the limit as their ability to quickly adapt, make strategic adjustments, and perform under high pressure were rigorously assessed.
Competing with Sierra Bullets 25 Cal 131 GR MatchKing in a 25 Creedmoor, Woodward delivered an impressive performance, demonstrating intense focus and precision. Although the match took place in late February, Woodward found herself battling more than just the targets, as high temperatures became a factor. Despite this, she completed all 17 stages, ranking first in the women's classification.
"The most unexpected element of the match was the 95-degree heat in February," Woodward stated. "Despite the conditions, the course was both challenging and fun. I'm happy with how I showed up to kick off my first NRL match of the season and proud to represent Sierra in the field."
