During Safari Club International's (SCI) 54th Annual Hunters' Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, SCI held its Hunter Action Fund (HAF) Luncheon, emceed by J. Alain Smith and featuring entertainment by Dan Roberts and Garrett Bradford. This year's luncheon was a tremendous success, raising incredible funds to educate pro-hunting voters and mobilize support for hunting and Second Amendment rights ahead of the upcoming consequential midterm elections.
HAF remains the nation's only super PAC devoted exclusively to mobilizing pro-hunting voters in key elections across America. As a vital force in SCI's advocacy efforts, HAF continues to defend the freedom to hunt by supporting pro-hunting candidates and equipping lawmakers with credible research demonstrating how sustainable-use hunting supports wildlife preservation and habitat conservation. Through voter activation and legislative education, HAF makes a measurable impact on the elections and policies that shape the future of hunters and wildlife management nationwide.
HAF works in close coordination with the SCI Political Action Committee (SCI-PAC) to ensure every HAF and SCI-PAC dollar is invested with maximum precision to protect our hunting heritage for generations to come. Building on the generosity of donors in past election cycles, HAF has mounted some of the hardest-hitting campaigns in the country, reaching hunters and firearm owners whose turnout often decides the outcome in highly-contested races.
During the luncheon, attendees heard from U.S. Representative Ryan Zinke (MT-1), who delivered a powerful message about what is at stake in the upcoming elections. Rep. Zinke warned that the achievements for sportsmen under President Trump's administration, including expanded access to public lands and strengthened protections for Second Amendment rights, are under increasing threat from an aggressive political movement seeking to challenge pro-hunting incumbents and advance policies that would undermine Americans' rights to hunt, fish, and bear arms. He emphasized the critical role HAF plays in ensuring sportsmen have a voice at the ballot box and that lawmakers remain accountable to the millions of Americans who depend on hunting and conservation.
SCI extends its sincere gratitude to each of its HAF Luncheon sponsors, including Platinum Sponsors the Acadiana Chapter and the Pittsburgh Chapter, and Gold Sponsor Dennis Anderson, for their generous support and continued commitment to HAF.
"The 2026 HAF Luncheon brought together SCI's most dedicated wildlife conservation champions in support of preserving America's hunting heritage," said SCI CEO W. Laird Hamberlin. "At a time when sportsmen's freedoms face growing challenges, HAF serves as an essential tool in ensuring their voices are heard loud and clear during this year's critical midterm elections. The extraordinary generosity displayed at the luncheon will directly fuel SCI's efforts to defend hunters' rights, defend conservation priorities, and protect the future of hunting in this great country."
