Registration is now open for the 2026 International Hunter Education Association-USA (IHEA-USA) Annual Meeting & Training, taking place June 1–4, 2026 in Glendale, Arizona.
Each year, the IHEA-USA Annual Meeting & Training brings together state agency professionals, volunteer instructors, conservation partners, and industry leaders from across the country to strengthen the future of safe, ethical, and modern hunter education. The event serves as a national gathering point for collaboration, professional development, innovation, and shared learning.
This year's conference will feature both in-person and virtual participation options, along with support from a growing group of industry and technology partners including Recademics, Monologix, Federal Ammunition, PayIt, and Determinator Targets, with additional partners currently in development.
"The Annual Meeting & Training is one of the most important times each year for our community to come together, share ideas, and strengthen the work happening across the country," said Alex Baer, Executive Director of IHEA-USA. "Whether someone joins us in Glendale or participates virtually, this event is about equipping the people who make hunter education possible and continuing to move the profession forward."
The value of attending in person
For those able to join in Glendale, the Annual Meeting & Training offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with peers and leaders across the hunter education landscape. In-person attendees will benefit from:
- Professional development sessions and training opportunities
- Collaborative conversations with state agencies and partners
- Exposure to new tools, technologies, and educational resources
- Networking and relationship-building with professionals and volunteers from across North America
- Shared learning that helps shape the future of hunter education programs nationwide
The in-person experience remains the most immersive way to participate in the event and contribute to the larger conversations driving hunter education forward.
Free virtual access for volunteer members
IHEA-USA also recognizes the critical role volunteer instructors play in delivering hunter education and is pleased to offer free virtual attendance for IHEA-USA volunteer members.
This online option allows volunteer members to stay engaged, access key sessions, and remain part of the broader hunter education conversation regardless of travel limitations.
