Team Mathews kicked off the 2026 ASA season in a strong fashion at the ASA Pro/Am in Foley, Alabama, battling through challenging conditions and a highly competitive field.
In Men's Known Pro, Kyle Douglas led the charge for Team Mathews with a 1st place finish. Douglas was joined on the podium by his teammate, Stephan Hansen, who secured 3rd place in an extremely tight race. Their performances set the tone for an impressive opening weekend.
In Women's Pro, Team Shooters Cara Kelly and Emily McCarthy delivered steady performances against one of the most competitive lineups of the weekend. Kelly secured 1st place while McCarthy followed closely behind taking home 3rd place.
Team Mathews also made its presence known in the Senior divisions, with Team Shooter Jack Wallace claiming 1st place in Senior Pro, alongside Michael Braden and Randy Morocco who claimed 1st and 2nd place in Senior Known Pro.
"Foley once again provided an impressive but challenging start to the season, testing shot execution, mental focus, and adaptability," said Derek Phillips, Mathews Prostaff Manager. "The team's performance this weekend set a strong foundation for the year ahead and building valuable momentum heading into the next stop on the ASA tour."
Furthermore, the Men's Pro division saw yet another standout effort with Team Shooter Dan McCarthy navigating demanding target presentations and tight scoring margins, landing him a 2nd place finish in the first outdoor event of the year.
Team Mathews won four out of six pro divisions and claimed eight podiums overall, kicking off the 2026 outdoors season with a demanding start. The Team looks to continue this momentum heading into the next ASA event starting on March 19th in Russel County, AL.
