PLPW Advisory Committee to Meet February 10 via Zoom

HELENA – The Private Land/Public Wildlife (PLPW) Advisory Committee will meet Feb. 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Zoom. Public comment will be taken via Zoom. To participate in the meeting and to provide comment, go to fwp.mt.gov/plpw and click on the meeting link.

Agenda items include the following:

  • Review the FWP hunter education program and options available to potential hunters
  • Identify and discuss factors related to the hunter education program
  • Understand FWP draft access concepts for private land hunting and fishing access programs and provide input
  • Review 2026 draft timeline and work plan

The PLPW advisory committee, appointed by the governor, is a citizen advisory committee composed of people interested in issues related to hunters, anglers, landowners and outfitters. The committee is charged with reviewing, reporting and making recommendations on FWP's hunting and fishing access programs, landowner-hunter relations, outfitting industry issues, public access land agreement, and other issues related to private lands and public wildlife.
