Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world's most rugged, lightweight, and clear sport optics, is pleased to announce the launch of its new VX-4HD line of riflescopes.
From tight timber to wide-open country, the VX-4HD, with its true 4:1 zoom, is built to perform. Its Elite Optical System delivers a bright, crisp image when light gets scarce, and the integrated throw lever makes magnification changes fast and easy. Built ultra-rugged to shrug off recoil and extreme weather, the VX-4HD gives you everything you need in one scope—performance, value, and durability that outworks and outperforms everything in its class.
"For more than 70 years hunters have known what a gold ring on a riflescope means: It's going to perform, without fail," said Tim Lesser, Vice President of Product Development and Marketing for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "We are proud to expand our Gold Ring family with the VX-4HD, bringing that performance and promise to even more consumers across the globe."
The VX-4HD is built around Leupold's Elite Optical System, which delivers excellent dawn-to-dusk light transmission, glare reduction, and the resolution that diehard hunters and shooters demand. Three configurations (3-12x40, 3-12x50, and 4-16x50) and four reticle options (Duplex, Hunt-Plex, Wind-Plex, and Illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter) are available, providing maximum versatility. Illuminated models extend battery life with Leupold's Motion Sensor Technology (MST), which automatically deactivates the reticle after five minutes of inactivity.
The CDS-ZL2 dial included on most VX-4HD's features Leupold's push-button ZeroLock system, preventing accidental dial movement. Utilizing Leupold's Custom Dial System (CDS), the CDS-ZL2 dial compensates for bullet drop and helps hunters make ultra-quick elevation adjustments on the fly. One free dial is available with the purchase of a CDS-compatible VX-4HD. Additional dials are available for purchase.
"Making elevation adjustments in the field when your target buck steps out can be high-stress," said Vici Peters, Gold Ring Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "The Custom Dial System is meant to help alleviate that stress and make sure you're not leaving anything to chance. With just a few pieces of information, almost all of which is on the back of a box of your favorite ammunition, we can cut a custom dial. It makes tagging out as simple as range, dial, shoot."
The VX-4HD's rugged, lightweight construction disperses recoil energy for unrivaled durability. The lenses shed dirt and water for clear, crisp images thanks to a Guard-ion coating.
Like all Leupold riflescopes, the VX-4HD is designed, machined, and assembled in the company's Beaverton, Ore., factory–and backed by a Lifetime Guarantee.
