The Pope and Young Club, North America's premier bowhunting conservation organization is excited to announce that the Board of Directors has unanimously approved a recommendation from the Records Committee to allow trophy bison taken from the Crow Reservation into their Records Program. This reservation is in the South/Central portion of Montana and is the newest boundary area where bison can be accepted.
"Pope and Young is excited to welcome the addition of the Crow Reservation bison into our Records Program," stated Justin Spring, Executive Director. "We applaud and recognize the efforts by the Crow to restore this iconic American species, and for that reason we are excited to allow them into the Records Program."
"As the Records Committee Chairman, one of my responsibilities is to investigate any requests on potential new areas that fall within the guidelines and requirement of Fair Chase, while maintaining the integrity of our records program. The Crow Reservation bison herd met all the requirements needed to allow entry into our records program. Furthermore, this new area will create more opportunity for bowhunters who choose to pursue the American Bison", stated Roy E. Grace, Records Chairman.
