Clubs compete in a standing air rifle course, 60 shots, scored in decimal, with team totals drawn from the top four scores. University of Rhode Island opened the spring segment with a 2,346.2, its second highest team mark of the season, led by Alex Travison at 605.1 and supported by Sophia Wood at 596.7. Georgia Military College's MacKenzie Sookhoo paced the individual field at 612.4, with Skylar Sanford adding 598.3.
In the overall standings by average, Georgia Military College leads the team table at 2,297.7, with University of Rhode Island close behind at 2,288.9. Individually, Sookhoo tops the list at 616.9, followed by Sophia Wood at 606.2, Cheyenne Malone at 599.7, Travison at 593.3 and Sanford at 590.5.
Game 5 Team Score Recap
University of Rhode Island set the pace in the team event at 2,346.2, the league's second best total this season. Travison's 605.1 anchored the four-count, with Wood at 596.7 and steady support from Emily Lopez at 585.9 and Carly Albanese at 558.5 for coach David Wood.
Georgia Military College finished at 1,210.7 while competing with two athletes instead of the standard four. Sookhoo posted 612.4 and Sanford added 598.3 for coach Lisa Kelly.
Individual Event Highlights
Sookhoo won the individual at 612.4, followed by Travison at 605.1 and Sanford at 598.3. Wood was next at 596.7 as URI placed two in the top four.
Sookhoo controlled the match from the opening series and held the lead after each 10-shot string. She opened with 103.8 and added 101.5 and 103.6 through 30 shots. Travison mounted his best push in the fourth series with a 103.3 as Sookhoo tallied 100.0, but Sookhoo closed with 103.4 and 103.1 over the final two strings to secure the margin.

League Format and Schedule
The National Intercollegiate Rifle League is a national team league for collegiate rifle clubs. Each athlete fires 60 shots scored in decimal; the team score is the sum of the top four shooters. The regular season features two parts — four games in the fall and four in the winter/spring — with competitions held every two weeks. The top three teams in the overall standings at season's end will receive awards.
