Following the successful launch of the 12 and 20-gauge ACE models, the 28-gauge expansion brings sub-gauge precision and reduced recoil to the industry's most advanced inertia driven shotgun platform.
Built on RETAY's legendary Inertia Plus™ action, the 28-gauge ACE is designed for the modern shotgunner who demands a lightweight, fast-handling firearm without sacrificing reliability. The ACE series, standing for "Air Control Extreme," was engineered with the AIRY recoil reduction system, that decreases felt recoil by 30%.
The 28-gauge ACE features a 3-inch chamber and utilizes RETAY's proprietary Dead Straight™ deep-bore drilled barrels. Unlike traditional hammer-forged barrels, RETAY barrels are drilled from solid steel bar stock, ensuring zero stress on the metal and superior shot patterns. The 28-gauge ACE is also offered in the ACE-R platform with a slight humpback and will be offered in Mossy Oak and Realtree camo patterns as well as black matte.
