Primary Arms Optics has revealed two new products for SHOT Show 2026: the PLx Compact 1.5-12x36 FFP RDB Rifle Scope and the updated Top Cap Reflex Mount (TCRM V2). The new optic expands the PLx Compact lineup with a versatile magnification range, premium Japanese glass, and Red Dot Bright® diffractive reticle technology, while the revised mount is designed to deliver improved compatibility and performance for modern sighting systems. Both products are expected to arrive in the first half of 2026.
Part of Primary Arms Optics' flagship PLx line, the 1.5-12x36 FFP RDB is built in Japan using top-tier extra-low dispersion (ED) glass. The result is a flat, bright image with excellent color fidelity and edge-to-edge clarity. Its 1.5-12x magnification range is designed to support fast target acquisition at close range while still offering the precision needed for effective engagements at distance.
Despite its capability, the PLx Compact 1.5-12x36 remains remarkably compact at approximately 9.75 inches long and 19.7 ounces. Its 36mm objective lens and fully multi-coated lenses reduce chromatic aberration, maximize light transmission, and maintain a forgiving eyebox throughout the zoom range. A wide field of view supports greater situational awareness while tracking and engaging targets.
Built for hard use, the scope's rugged 30mm body has been tested to withstand heavy recoil, shock, and extreme environmental conditions. It offers generous internal adjustment (100 MOA of elevation) and features user-configurable Steel-On-Steel (SOS®) turrets that allow shooters to choose between capped or exposed elevation. AutoLive® motion-sensing illumination conserves battery life by powering down when the optic is idle and instantly reactivating with movement.
The PLx Compact 1.5-12x36 FFP RDB will be offered with two ACSS® reticle options. The ACSS Raptor 5.56 Yard G2 reticle is calibrated for 5.56, .308 and similar cartridges, combining a proven BDC system with a true Red Dot Bright® horseshoe and chevron, full ranging stadia, wind holds and moving target leads. The ACSS Griffin MIL G2 reticle provides a MIL-based grid with an illuminated chevron center, allowing for rapid acquisition at low magnification and precise holds and ranging at higher power without dialing turrets. Both configurations are designed to deliver fast, intuitive engagements across a wide range of distances.
Alongside the new optic, Primary Arms Optics also revealed the TCRM V2 Top Cap Reflex Mount. The updated design features a higher centerline height and revised geometry intended to provide improved clearance and a more secure interface when adding a top-mounted reflex sight. The TCRM V2 is designed to support today's modern sighting setups while maintaining the strength and durability expected from Primary Arms Optics' mounting solutions.
"By advancing our proven PLx Compact technology and addressing direct feedback from professional end users, we were able to create one of the most versatile and capable optics in the industry," said Stephen Morgan, Director of Product Marketing at Primary Arms Optics. "As mission sets, tactics and technology continue to evolve, we also developed the new TCRM V2 to provide maximum capability to sighting systems for the men and women who rely on them most."
Both the PLx Compact 1.5-12x36 FFP RDB Rifle Scope and TCRM V2 Reflex Mount are expected to be available in the first half of 2026. For more information and detailed specifications, visit the new product announcement page.
