West Bend, WI –The Precision Rifle Series (PRS) is excited to announce that Foundation Stocks will be the official presenting sponsor of the Sportsman Division for the 2025 PRS season.

Foundation Stocks, known for their championship winning precision rifle stocks, continues to innovate in the precision rifle industry with their new line of lightweight hunting stocks, the Hybrid line. Foundation’s goal with the Hybrid line was to design a lightweight stock that delivers the deadened shooting characteristic of their micarta stocks in a system that is light enough for the backcountry. By combining their micarta material, along with carbon and aramid fibers (commonly know as Kevlar®), Foundation provides the hunters with the same shooting experience found in their competition line of stocks at a fraction of the weight.

The PRS Sportsman Division is designed for shooters who are either new to the sport or looking to advance their skills. The division serves as a proving ground for those aiming to transition to more advanced competitive shooting while offering a structured, supportive environment. Shooters in this division compete using rifles that are limited to a weight of 13 pounds, 0 ounces, including the rifle, optic, muzzle device, bipod, empty magazine, and any detachable accessories such as suppressors, levels, or dope cards. This weight limit ensures that competitors are shooting in a fair and standardized environment, where every detail counts.

Rifles in the Sportsman Division can be custom, factory, or factory-modified, with modifications allowed for both accuracy and weight, as long as they comply with the division’s weight restrictions. This flexibility ensures that competitors have the ability to use a rifle that suits their style and preferences while maintaining fair competition conditions.

The 2025 PRS season promises to be full of exciting competition, and with Foundation Stocks’ support, the Sportsman Division is poised to become an even more integral part of the series. This partnership will help provide competitors with the resources, exposure, and experience they need to succeed, and ensure the continued growth of precision rifle shooting as a whole.

The PRS values its partnership with the Foundation Team and looks forward to working together to support its members, elevate national Pro Series competitions, and contribute to the growth of the sport. In 2025, the PRS will host 50 national-level precision rifle competitions, culminating in the PRS Pro Series Finale on November 1-2, 2025, at WAR Rifles – Geissele Range in Tremont, Pennsylvania, where Foundation Stocks will proudly serve as a sponsor.
