Winchester and White Flyer Trap Shooters Shine at The Grand American
Winchester Ammunition and White Flyer continue its longstanding support of the Grand American as the official ammunition and target of the Amateur Trap Association (ATA). Nearly 5,000 of the world’s best trapshooters competed in the Grand American as a true test of their skills in one of the longest standing shooting sports competitions.
As one of the most accomplished trap shooters in history, Team Winchester and White Flyer member Matt Bartholow, locked up his fifth doubles championship, a feat unmatched in the history of The Grand American. Matt has built his resume shooting Winchester AA® target loads against some of the best competitors in the world.
Winchester AA® shotshells were the number one choice of shooters at the Grand American, proving once again that the legendary AA shotshell is the choice of champions. Over the course of the competition, more than 3.4 million registered White Flyer targets were thrown.
“The Grand American is more than a championship, it’s a tradition, and we’re proud to have supported this event for more than 100 years,” said Jason Gilbertson, Senior Director of Marketing for Winchester Ammunition. “Congratulations to all of the shooters that log countless hours training for these elite competitions and thank you for supporting the shooting sports.”
On top of a commanding brand presence, Team Winchester and Team White Flyer shooters competed in the Grand and secured multiple championship titles, including:
Dagen Voigtman – ATA 2600 HOA Championship by White Flyer Event Champion
Matt Bartholow – 5th ATA World Doubles Championship by Kolar Champion
Keith Ditto – Winchester Super 500 Singles Class AAA Champion
