Northbrook, IL – Armasight, a leader in thermal and night vision technology, announces a powerful firmware update for several of its industry-leading thermal optics: the Contractor 640, Sidekick 320, Jockey 320, and Collector 320 series. This latest update introduces refined image quality, improved reticle functionality, sensor optimization, and more responsive performance—ensuring outdoor professionals get the most out of their gear.

Contractor 640 Firmware – v.5145(core), 3672(system), 3256(comm)

- Improved stadiametric rangefinder accuracy in both Imperial and Metric measurements.

- Default enhancement values adjustments for more accurate image calibration.

- Corrects possible instances of improper shutdown.

Sidekick 320 Firmware – v.4122(core)

- Sharper brightness detail in high-contrast environments improving target recognition.

- Fixed internal histogram processing delivering clearer visuals in low temperature gradient scenes.

- Reduced oversaturation and blooming effects caused by thermal intensity spikes.

- Preset enhancement values are fine-tuned for more accurate default image profiles.

- Automatic SFFC (Single Frame Flat Field Correction) runs post-update to improve sensor performance.

- Resolved bugs that previously affected video recordings and start-up timing.

Jockey 320 Firmware – v.4124(core)

- Improved NUC frequency, reducing visual noise and increasing frame clarity.

- Enhanced sensor sensitivity for better thermal detection and tracking.

- Fixed preview bug to ensure smoother image rendering.

Collector 320 Firmware – v.4124(core)

- Auto SFFC now runs automatically after update to improve sensor responsiveness.

- Greater contrast definition between hot and cold objects for improved scene analysis.

- Increased sensor sensitivity for more reliable object detection.

- Enhancement presets refined to align with updated sensor tuning.
