(Newburgh, IN) – For the past eighteen months, the Vicious Fishing brand has been under new ownership. Cypress Creek Outdoors, LLC, a family-owned, Indiana-based company, acquired the growing brand of fishing line in late 2018.

Today, they announced the launch of eight new line types. Some will be available in 2020 with the balance coming in the Spring of 2021. The new lines cater to a broad range of freshwater to saltwater applications with some niche items focused on crappie, catfish and ice fishing.

Greg Meunier, owner of Cypress Creek Outdoors, said, “Cori and I are very excited to have the Vicious brand and look forward to accelerating its growth. The team has spent the past eighteen months evaluating brand strengths and opportunities while also improving processes and operational needs as they were identified. Cori adds “Changes such as adding the new B2B website and improvements in shipping procedures are now allowing us to ship most orders within 24 hours of receiving them. We are better equipped to evaluate inventory and the communication among all key team members has really made a difference for our business. Essentially we have solidified the internal workings allowing us to put our best foot forward.”

Greg boasts, “Looking forward, we want to continue to bring innovation to the market – such as the Vicious No-Fade Braid. The announcement of our new lines represents months of evaluating current product lines, testing with pro staff and speaking directly with customers and anglers about what they wanted to see from Vicious. We feel we will be pushing the market forward with the launch of our new Tora 100% Fluoro which will be one of the highest quality (and most castable) fluorocarbons on the market as well as the Crystal Clear Fluoro which looks like glass. Of course, we’ve had many requests for the No-Fade in hi-vis yellow. Lastly, we had to take a look at the crappie, catfish and ice markets as niche segments which already support our brand.”
