  • Developed in cooperation with some of the world’s best competitive shooters, the new Star Team Evo Platinum provides a range of higher quality loads for the best patterns, special powder blends to deliver fast shot across all three payloads and shot size, with less recoil.

Rio Ammunition, one of very few ammo companies that make its own ammo components, is celebrating its 26th appearance at the firearm industry’s largest trade show in the world—SHOT Show 2020 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada January 21–24, 2020 at booth #15738.

Rio is proudly introducing two new lines of shotshells—the Star Team EVO Platinum for target and Olympic-style shooters and the Royal ECO BlueSteel line for waterfowlers with the only fully water-soluble wad on the market.

Royal Eco BlueSteel

The new 12-gauge Royal Eco BlueSteel shot load delivers the performance you need while leaving less behind. With additives derived from vegetables, the Royal Eco is compliant with ASTM international standards. This revolutionary environmentally friend wad, with the help of CO2, mineral salts and biomass, turns into high quality fertilizer helping nourish your hunting grounds for generations to come.

Star Team Evo Platinum

Developed in cooperation with some of the world’s best competitive shooters, the new Star Team Evo Platinum provides a range of higher quality loads for the best patterns, special powder blends to deliver fast shot across all three payloads and shot size, all with less recoil. Shooters can choose the best load for any situation without compromising similar felt recoil or similar speed. The meticulous selection of in-house made components results in consistent performance when you want to smash clays.

Also showcasing will be Rio’s Vintage 1896 paper loads, Rio Elite with a cork base to reduce fliers and provide precisely consistent patterns, Royal Turkey Buffered Copper load, best-selling Rio BlueSteel target load, buckshot and Rio Bismuth. Rio is one of only three companies that produces a true Bismuth option for those who live where lead and steel are restricted.

Bismuth is a naturally occurring metal found in the Earth’s crust, with most concentrations in Bolivia, Peru, Japan, Mexico and Canada. Known since 1400, Bismuth was often confused with lead due to its heavy metal properties and low melting point. On display at Rio’s booth will be a beautiful 4” x 5” specimen of real Bismuth.

What We Leave Behind Matters
