The Association of Collegiate Anglers is excited to announce the first rankings of the season for the 2025-26 Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia. This rankings reveal includes results from the Bassmaster College Series National Championship, a MLF College Series regular season event, as well as numerous local and regional tournaments.
Carson-Newman University tops the latest rankings with a season total of 4,505 points. Trailing 310 points behind in 2nd place is Adrian College, and five-time title winning University of Montevallo is in 3rd.

Carson-Newman stakes claim to the early-season lead in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia with a strong start this fall. The team from Jefferson City, TN earned the most points of any school to compete at the Bassmaster College Series National Championship on Cherokee Lake this past summer. Their two top-finishing teams placed in 2nd and 3rd overall. Andrew Turner & James Sumrell finished runner-up, and Jacob Berryhill & Zach Knight rounded out the Top 3. Those two top finishes accounted for 3,940 points.
The ACA recently announced the results to its 5th annual Pre-Season Poll. 21 of the current Top 25 teams were selected inside of the Top 25 entering this new season.
This upcoming weekend, the ACA is set to host its first double points event of the season. Schools will be eligible to earn points for their two highest-placing fish inside of the Top 150 in the overall event standings. First place will be awarded 1,750 points. Bass fishing clubs/teams that are able to place two fish high up in the standings will be able to earn 3,000 plus points. 21 of the current Top 25 teams in college fishing’s only all-encompassing National Rankings system are set to compete at Kentucky Lake this upcoming weekend. An updated points standings will be released following the completion of the event next week.
