Milltown State Park Overlook Closed for Construction Through the End of May

The Milltown State Park Overlook Area is closed through the end of May while construction takes place at the site. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks expects the site to reopen by June 1 and will provide an update once construction is complete. All other parts of the park remain open.

Construction crews will be working at the Milltown Overlook this month to relocate portions of the site away from the unstable bluff area. The unstable areas near the bluff have been closed for public safety for several years. This project will provide new public access to trails and exhibits away from that part of the site.

All other areas of Milltown State Park remain open during construction. River users traveling down the Clark Fork or Blackfoot and then through the Milltown area should stay to the middle of the channel or river right, avoiding the area immediately below the cliffside while work continues.
