WoodMaxx Joins QUWF as a Habitat Sponsor

Buffalo, MO: The Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation (QUWF) is solely dedicated to helping all private landowners save time, money and effort in keeping their lands in good condition for the sole goals of agriculture and wildlife conservation. Part of that objective is finding solutions, like constantly cleaning up limbs and trees coming down on field roads and trails that provide vital access and egress to the land. WoodMaxx now provides a solid solution to efficiency of time and benefits for conservation.

“A constant task on most forested lands is the clearing of downed trees, overhanging limbs, and removing cedars. Before Woodmaxx, a Back Forty Group Company, the limbs and trees were cut, piled then we would return with the forks on the tractor to move the stacks to burn piles that resemble small mountains” states Craig Alderman of QUWF. “Now, using the American Made Woodmaxx MX 8600 PTO Chipper, we chip up the limbs and debris instantly, up to 6 inches in diameter with this model, and put the chips on the trails” Craig states. The time saved is significant, the quality of the trails improves greatly, the amount of labor is much less, less tractor time running to burn piles, and probably the most important, trying to get the piles actually burned. When conditions are right, no help is available, and with the drought conditions, piles cannot be burned until the fall with the right conditions and help. “WoodMaxx is a great partner for conservation. We are honored WoodMaxx (www.WOODMAXX.com) is supporting QUWF landowner efforts going forward” states Craig.

“Built for easy maintenance and long life, our chipper line provides less down time and more work in the forests and access roads. Our 7-year warranty is an industry leader, we build it strong and solid just like the men and women we make it for”, reflects Adam MacBain, owner and designer at WoodMaxx. “Working with QUWF opens up new options for landowner’s performing more efficient habitat work at a fair price for PTO or skid steer HD equipment” references MacBain. “From access and egress clearing, downed tree clearing (no more hauling to burn piles), controlling muddy trails with wood chips, creating walking trails, UTV/RTV trails and landowner seminar display locations, or to the great family gardens always needing woodchips. There are models and sizes to fit your tractor from compacts up” emphasizes Adam. “QUWF and WoodMaxx are excited going forward” MacBain states.

The Woodmaxx line of Power Take Off (PTO) and skid steer chippers are all American made with American parts and American Labor. Founded by a Navy veteran, the company today truly supports and respects our veterans including a veteran discount. “A significant feature WoodMaxx chippers are known for is the hydrostatic feed system that draws the limbs into the chipper at a safe distance and controlled rate. The external control bar allows increasing or reversing the feed speed to clear any debris or clogs” states Alderman. QUWF will feature more information on its website, www.quwf.net on using the WoodMaxx MX 8600, under Research and Reference, WoodMaxx.
