Capital City/Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board (CCLMC) and USAngling are thrilled to announce that they will be hosting the 2024 Pan American Kayak Fishing Championship on the picturesque Lake Murray. Scheduled to take place from September 27th to 29th, this esteemed event will see elite kayak anglers from across the Americas competing for Pan Am medals.
Lake Murray is renowned not only for its amazing bass fishing but also for the nonstop action of striper fishing. In recognition of this, the USAngling committee has decided to host a dual species event this year, giving anglers the unique opportunity to compete for both bass and striper.
With ten nations represented, the competition will be fierce as teams vie for the coveted gold medal. This event, officially sanctioned by the Pan American Sportfishing Association, marks only the second time the USA has had the honor of hosting this esteemed championship, reflecting the country's commitment to fostering international sportfishing camaraderie and competition.
